Both of Jesse’s first loves were found while he was still in high school: his future bride, Susan, and his camera.
Unfortunately, the realities of teenage relationships set in and they ended up parting ways. After graduation, Jesse and his canine companion, Andrew, went off to shoot school portraits around the country – Atlanta being the new center of operations.
Jesse quickly became one of the top five photographers in the largest portrait company in the U.S. of A.
Just as quickly, however, the dog got tired of the southeastern city, and nearly made it back by himself. It was just as well...
Susan had already lured Jesse back to California, where they married in 2001.
Jesse struck out on his own, and now the pair have a thriving, award-winning studio, doing their best to capture the lives and personalities of their community from behind the camera lens.
If you’re wondering what happened to the dog, apparently the house wasn’t big enough for four. Susan’s cat, Blue, won the turf battle, and Andrew now enjoys the country life at grandma’s house.
